The wind can be a refreshing gentle breeze, or a mighty destructive force. Though we can not see the wind, the presence, and effect of the wind is experienced and realized in every day life. The same is true for the Holy Spirit of God. There is mystery surrounding the Holy Spirit, because he too can be as gentle as a breeze, or as devastating as a hurricane. He is probably the most divisive person in the gathering of the church, not because he is divisive, but because there is confusion as to who he is, what he does, and what he plans to accomplish in and through us. However, Jesus said in John 16:7, his presence is better, and more important than anything else we could hope for.
